Bites & Business: Youth Entrepreneurship!

Welcome to Bites & Business!

In this life skills program, youth will build critical workplace competencies and learn valuable interpersonal skills while experiencing the fun and hard work of building their own business! In this six week simulation, youth will build their own food service business: building a budget, projecting sales, designing their brand, marketing their products and working alongside their team! This event culminates in the Sales Day, taking place at the BGC Airdrie Youth Market on June 14th!

At the end of the program, we’ll spend our profits on something fun – ice cream? pizza? Who knows!

This free program is presented with the support of the Hunter Family Foundation.

THANK YOU to President’s Choice!

What a year!

Thanks to President’s Choice Children’s Charities, BGCA helped to fill the bellies of over 1500 children and youth in Airdrie and area in 2024.

A little taste of the fun we had…

  • 30+ cooking programs
  • 38 Tuesday Bread Days
  • Over 15,000 daily snacks fed and meals prepared

None of this would be possible without the generous support of President’s Choice.

THANK YOU!

This workshop covers all criteria as outlined in the Government of Alberta Driver’s Guide to Operation, Safety and Licensing.

Holiday Market Success

Another Holiday Market has come to pass, and we couldn’t be more proud. The spirit of the season could be felt as vendors from our community shared their talents and crafts with us. BGCA members and our friends and supporters throughout the community were able to complete some of their Christmas Shopping with unique and one of a kind gift options and to come together to share the holiday season.

In the Mrs. Claus Workshop, kids were treated to a chance to shop for that special someone in their lives in our kids only shopping zone. A fun way to buy mom, dad, grandma and grandpa, sister or brother a special surprise gift.

A warm thanks to all our sponsors, to those who came out, and our volunteers who make this event possible. We are grateful for your support!
