Are you a leader? Do you have excellent facilitation skills? Are you passionate about creating welcoming, enriching and inclusive spaces for young people? We want to hear from you!
BGC Airdrie is hiring a Youth Engagement Worker (YEW). The YEW works in classrooms and community spaces, hosting workshops and activities that help youth aged 14 – 24 gain critical adult skills and capabilities! Have fun, meet new people and help young people – all while being at work!

Announcing – 2 New Youth Evening Programs!
We’re excited to announce our final two evening programs of the year, starting the week of May 7th.
All things SWIFTY!: Are you a swiftie? Then You Belong With Me! This program is straight out of your Wildest Dreams! Babe, you don’t have to wait til’ Back To December to enjoy all things Taylor. We Knew You Were Hungry When You Walked In, so we have tasty treats ready to make – including Taylor’s own Chai Cookie Recipe. We’ll have a Mirror Ball playing games, making swiftie-style crafts and creating tasty treats. Hop on your White Horse and register for your spot so you’re not left seeing Red!
Cartoon Cooking: It’s cartoon galore! Explore the wide world of pop culture through the lens of cartoons, anime, and other animation. We’re going to traverse the Eras of Cartoons while cooking in this evening program. Scooby snacks, Beast Boys morphing cupcakes and so much more. Plus, enjoy snacks and drinks at every session.

You’ll receive 20 pages of creative colouring creations, each lovingly put together by a BGCA staff member. Is your favourite program leader in the book? Only one way to find out! Proceeds from colouring book sales go directly to support BGCA programs, and to help the children and youth we serve enjoy programs and services.
1 for $10.00, or 2 for $15.00! Books will be available for pickup at the BGCA Youth Centre. Orders over $50.00 will qualify for free delivery within Airdrie!

Accelerate to Your Licence
Have you been thinking about getting your Learner’s Licence? Youth 13 and over can join us this February for our Accelerate Program where they will learn everything they need to know to pass their Alberta Class 7 Learner’s License Exam.
This workshop covers all criteria as outlined in the Government of Alberta Driver’s Guide to Operation, Safety and Licensing.
Bring a friend or two, and we’ll help you learn the rules of the road and help you prepare for the Learner’s Test and work toward getting your Learner’s Licence!

Holiday Market Success
Another Holiday Market has come to pass, and we couldn’t be more proud. The spirit of the season could be felt as vendors from our community shared their talents and crafts with us. BGCA members and our friends and supporters throughout the community were able to complete some of their Christmas Shopping with unique and one of a kind gift options and to come together to share the holiday season.
In Mrs. Clause Workshop, kids were treated to a chance to shop for that special someone in their lives in our kids only shopping zone. A fun way to buy mom, dad, grandma and grandpa, sister or brother a special surprise gift.
